Step 7b: Top-Up Devices
Identifying an unknown top-up device; setting a program with no owning client
If you wish to schedule a programme for a top-up device without associating it with a client, this feature allows you to configure the card accordingly. You can also scan any top-up device supplied by the ONE system (or its resellers) to retrieve information about its current allocation status.
This identification feature is found under the Devices menu on the left-hand side of the ONE app. Click the small downward arrow to expand the menu, then select Identify Client Device.

When the page loads, you’ll be prompted to scan a top-up device. Once the ten-digit ID is read, the system queries the ONE cloud database and returns any known information. This is useful if you’ve lost track of which card is which, or if someone hands in a lost device to your clinic.

The scan result will indicate one of the following:
- Which of your clients the device belongs to, and whether it is actively running a programme
- Whether the device ID is unknown to our database (i.e. not sourced from WDS or a ONE reseller)
- Whether the device is unregistered to your subscription or any client
- Whether the card is registered to another subscriber (no further details shown for privacy reasons)
For example:

Clicking Edit Schedule opens an edit box where you can change the programme or expiry date. This version of the edit box includes one additional feature not found elsewhere—you can also reassign the device to a different client.

The lower section of this window includes several checkboxes:
- Click here to expire the device now – triggers expiry at the same time of day the schedule was originally set (e.g. 18:30). Schedules operate on a 24-hour basis.
- Click here to disassociate the device from client – removes the client (e.g. Tess Dater) from the device. It will no longer appear in her client record. Note: the scheduled programme remains active until the designated time, which may be the following day if cancelled after that time.
- Click here if device is lost or destroyed – marks the device as unusable so it cannot be reassigned.
