The One System

One Usage Protocols

A brief overview of usage concepts, also covered in the One training guide.

A typical One session is recommended to last approximately 1.5 hours. For first-time appointments, consider allocating an additional 30 minutes for a fuller discussion or client interview.

We suggest the following session structure:

  1. Run the Initial Balance program for 15 minutes
  2. Run the program aligned with the client’s primary concern for 60 minutes. In cases involving heightened emotional sensitivity (e.g. trauma), consider reducing this to 30 minutes for the first session and evaluating the client’s response over the following week.
  3. Run the Final Balance program for 15 minutes.

Preparing the client

Offer the client a glass of water or beverage before the session. Hydration supports comfort and receptivity.

Minimize interruptions where possible. While the program can be paused for up to 30 minutes, an uninterrupted session is ideal.

Ensure the client is relaxed—either on a therapy couch or comfortable chair. Clothing should be loose and warm enough, but avoid excessive blankets as body temperature may rise during the session. Encourage the client to speak up if they feel uncomfortable.

Connecting the client to the One System
  1. Confirm the One system is connected to its power adaptor. A red light above the “ON” label indicates power.
  2. Connect the USB cable between the One system and your computer.
  3. If you use both the One and e-Lybra systems, ensure the e-Lybra software is closed and its unit disconnected from USB—unless you are using the One software with the e-Lybra unit, in which case it should remain connected.
  4. Cleanse the blue wrist straps using a damp cloth or alcohol wipe.
  5. Attach the left wrist strap and connect it to the LEFT (black) port on the One unit.
  6. Attach the right wrist strap and connect it to the RIGHT (red) port on the One unit.
  7. Ensure the leads are not overly taut. If the client moves, the unit should remain stable and connectors should not detach.

The main seven-step One training guide explains how to configure the software to run a sequence of programs. The format is outlined below.

Initial Balance Program

For first-time clients, we recommend remaining present during the session. This is a safety protocol, as the energetic experience may feel intense initially.

The Initial Balance program serves two purposes. First, it helps acclimatize the client’s energy system to the frequency-based information provided by the One system. This may take a few minutes as the body harmonizes with the experience.

Second, the program initiates a general energetic balancing process. As described on our Concepts of Energy Balancing page, the One system works with multiple energy bodies and pathways that aim to interact in harmony. Life stressors—especially those involving emotional strain—can disrupt this balance. When the energy system is more coherent, subsequent programs may be more effective in supporting the client’s goals.

The recommended duration for the Initial Balance program is 15 minutes, and we advise not reducing this time. However, with experience, practitioners may choose to extend this segment if the client appears significantly imbalanced. In rare cases, the entire 90-minute session may be devoted to the initial program—though this means the presenting issue is not directly addressed during that session. If deemed appropriate, this extended balancing does not cause harm.

The first session typically involves a longer initial conversation, so you may spend time with the client before beginning the One session. In subsequent sessions, progress discussions can often take place while the Initial Balance is running—unless a longer dialogue is needed.

2. The Main Program

The main program - such as one aligned with addiction support - automatically begins after the Initial Balance completes. Ideally, the client should be encouraged to sit or lie back quietly, perhaps with eyes closed and calming music via headphones.

a) The Addiction Programs

Energetic patterns associated with addiction or trauma can be complex. The addiction program aims to dissolve energetic matrices that may contribute to compulsive behaviours. During this process, clients may experience short-term sensations such as:

  • Nausea
  • Hot flashes
  • Headache
  • A strong taste of the substance in the mouth
  • Dizziness
  • An emotional release (e.g. crying or anger)
  • Thirst
  • Urgent need for a toilet break

These effects, if they occur, are typically brief and tend to pass before the program concludes.

Clients may request a pause during the session, which is perfectly acceptable. The program can be paused for up to 30 minutes; beyond that, it will automatically cancel. Usage credits are calculated based on full or partial 5-minute blocks.

b) The Trauma Program

While physical sensations during addiction programs are often short-lived, the energetic processing of trauma may unfold over several days. As the energy of stored trauma begins to shift, clients may temporarily feel heightened emotional sensitivity. This is part of the de-crystallisation process, where semi-dissolved energy is released into the broader energy field and gradually integrated.

This experience may resemble a temporary energetic “hangover,” but typically clears within a few days. We encourage continuity in sessions, as consistent engagement supports deeper energetic resolution. As the saying goes, “the only way out of the jungle is to keep moving forward.”

We do not seek to overstate the intensity of this process. Many clients report no adverse effects, and some experience noticeable improvements after just one session. These notes are offered for clarity.

The One System is not presented as a replacement for conventional therapy. It is offered as a complementary tool within a broader wellness framework.

c) The Body Wellness Program

Long-term energetic imbalance may correlate with physical discomfort. For example, practitioners often observe a relationship between unresolved anger and liver stress. In the absence of known genetic or environmental factors, some energetic practitioners attribute such patterns to low-frequency chi energy that has become blocked or crystallised.

The Body Wellness program offers targeted energetic instructions to support functional coherence across systems and organs (e.g. respiration rather than simply “lungs”). These signals may prompt the body’s innate awareness to engage in restorative action.

As a light-hearted analogy: we often need someone to point out a piece of spinach in our teeth before we act. Similarly, modern spacecraft use external drones to detect damage that the crew cannot see. In this spirit, the One System offers energetic cues that help the body’s consciousness recognise areas needing attention.

Overall Observations

In all forms of energetic therapy—including those supported by the One System—hydration is beneficial. Energy shifts may be less efficient when the body is dehydrated, so offering a glass of water before the session is recommended.

Occasionally, clients may experience what practitioners refer to as an “energetic release.” This occurs when a significant amount of blocked energy begins to shift and integrate. If the volume is substantial, the client may temporarily feel unwell—similar to a mild energetic “hangover.” Depending on the nature of the release, this may present as a headache, emotional expression (e.g. crying), or digestive urgency. These effects typically pass within an hour. Hydration can help support the body’s natural detoxification process.

Some clients may fall asleep during the session. This is perfectly fine and does not interfere with the energetic process.

3. Final Balance program

While the Initial Balance program establishes foundational coherence, the main program may introduce energetic shifts that leave the client feeling “spacey” or ungrounded. The Final Balance program helps restore harmony and integration. Practitioners are encouraged to use discernment and allow clients time to rest before leaving the clinic.

Top-Up Cards

Top-Up Cards extend the energetic support between sessions and are considered a valuable part of the overall protocol.

One Top-Up Cards

After the first session, we recommend assigning a Top-Up Card to the client and using the One software to schedule the main program to run on the card for a set duration—typically a couple of weeks or until the next session.

The card emits the same program at a lower intensity, as it is not powered by an amplifier unit. Despite the reduced strength, it may help prevent energetic patterns from re-forming. Practitioners have observed that clients receiving addiction support often report greater ease in maintaining progress when carrying a Top-Up Card.

Credits and Charges

The pay-as-you-go credit system charges one credit per 5 minutes of session time. A 90-minute session typically uses 18 credits.

If a Top-Up Card is included, it incurs a daily charge of two credits per 24-hour period—equating to 14 credits per week. For clients receiving weekly sessions (15 + 60 + 15 minutes, = 18 credits), the total weekly usage would be 32 credits.

If you are new to the idea of charging clients then we suggest charging between £80 and £120 for this protocol. Clinics with multiple practitioners may adjust pricing to reflect operational overheads.
